            THE GROOVED CONCEPT

                                                                 GASKET
                                                                 GROOVE
              THE GROOVED JOINT
The grooved mechanical joint is comprised of four
main components, making it both a simple and
              reliable way to join pipe.
              • First, grooves are rolled or cut into the ends of the pipe
              • An elastomer gasket is then placed over the pipe ends
              • Ductile iron housings, assembled with track head
bolts and nuts, surround the gasket and engage
                into the grooves
The end result is a self-restraining pipe joint,
designed to last the life of a piping system.
